Alumni Spotlight: Shayna Lanzetta

Shayna has been studying dance since the age of 2, she started her training in New York City with her mom Maria Lanzetta. She has performed commercially for Nike, Univision Apollo and was the opening number at the age of 4 for a famous singing group, Menudo. She has been in many competitions and has won numerous awards and has done a short movie clip for Miami University.

Shayna began teaching while a student at the Dance Academy of Stuart and continued teaching after graduating in 2012. Shayna not only teaches but also choreographs for the DAS Competition team where she has been recognized for her choreography.  She teaches Hip-Hop, Jazz, Tap, Contemporary, and Musical Theater.

In 2016, Shayna began dancing with the Miami Heat and has danced for Plan B DJ, Rihanna, Run DMC, Paul McCartney, and Marc Anthony.
